Children’s Outreach
Adopt a Heifer Outreach Ministry: The children have done a great job collecting money this summer for the Adopt a Heifer program. The money that has been collected up through today will be used to buy our first animal(s) purchase. Look for the Outreach display at Welcome Back Sunday to find out what animals were purchased and the goal for our next purchase.
Outreach Committee Summer Food Closet Collection
Bags will be available in the pews starting June 6 and through out the summer. Each bag will contain a list of food closet needs. Please take a bag home, fill it up with 3 or 4 food items, bring the bag back the next Sunday, and place in the back pews of the church. Any children wishing to help unload food from the bags and refill with a new food needs list, please see Bonnie Hoffman.
Courier/Driver Needed:
We are registered with BJs Wholesale Club to pick up their discarded bread and baked items for charity purposes. It is 1-2 shopping carts worth of delicious cakes, tarts, bagels, and bread to share with our brothers and sisters in Christ who come to the Food Closet. Need folks willing to pick up at BJs (every Monday any time between 7 a.m. and 12 noon) and transport it to the Food Closet. Contact: Jenny Burk
